The Skull inside one’s personal Chamber of Reflection symbolizes mortality. It is a constant reminder of the finite nature of your existence in your current body. Therefore every moment should count towards living life to the fullest and fulfilling your Magnum opus, “The Great Work”; fulfilling your purpose in life.
As I stare at my crystal skull I focus my thoughts and look into my past for the lessons it has taught, lessons I can use as tools in the present to work the process of achieving the future I want to create for myself. As I look at it I also notice the one small flaw on the bottom jaw where it seems to have chipped. This to me symbolizes on a microcosm level that people even with their flaws are still beautiful, for even chipped this is a beautiful piece. On a macrocosm level, it symbolizes the imperfection of the physical universe itself, yet life is still a beautiful thing.
