My Personal Crystal Collection

There are many different types of crystals that can be found all around the world, each different one having it’s own energies and properties that can be used for our benefit. The uses are many; crystals can be used for meditation, healing, magic/spellwork, or to simply carry with you to attract the energies associated with them. These are all the crystals in my collection so far and I’ve included information about each.

Note that though I list whether or not each crystal can be exposed to water or sunlight, I would personally recommend not exposing any of your crystals to either. There are crystals whose color will fade in the sun and crystals that will dissolve in water. I choose to cleanse my crystals by smudging them with White Sage and charging them in the Moonlight under a full moon to be safe. As my collection grows I will continue to provide pictures and information on them in future post. Peace, love, & balance!

Crystal Quartz – Rough Stone, Skull, Sacred Geometry Set, & Pyramid

  • Element: Earth
  • Zodiac: Pisces
  • Birthstone Month: April
  • Planet: Venus
  • Chakra: Seventh – Crown (Sahasrara)
  • Energies: Purity, Power, Healing
  • Exposure to Water: Yes
  • Exposure to Sun: Yes

The most common and abundant crystal in the world is Crystal Quartz, also known as Clear Quartz. Though it’s mostly associated with Sahasrara or the Crown Chakra, Crystal Quartz actually has the ability to balance and harmonize all of the chakras. In a similar fashion, Crystal Quartz also has the ability to charge all of your other crystals when they are sat on a Crystal Quartz cluster.

My Crystal Sacred Geometry Set are the five Platonic Solids, named after the Greek Philosopher Plato who hypothesized that the classical elements were made out of these five solids. The Tetrahedron is associated with Fire, the Cube with Earth, the Octahedron with Air, the Icosahedron with Water, and the Dodecahedron with Ether or Spirit. These five solids all also fit inside Metatron’s Cube, which is formed from the pattern known as the Flower of Life, the pattern which everything in the entire Universe gets it’s form and shape from.

Tetrahedron
Cube
Octahedron
Dodecahedron
Icosahedron

Pyramid shaped crystals can be used to harness energy, drawing it in at it’s vortex and dispersing the energy from the base in all directions. These can be powerful tools for meditation and setting intentions. I use mine on my chakras in order to cleanse and rejuvenate them.

Aquamarine is associated with the sea, it’s name coming from the Latin “aqua marinus” meaning “water of the sea.” Because of this association, it would be used by sailors as a protection stone while traveling at sea. This crystal is special to me and is one of the few I carry with me everywhere. It is associated with my zodiac sign (Scorpio) as well as Vishuddha or the Throat Chakra. The Throat Chakra deals with communication and expression, making this crystal valuable to me as a writer. Called “the merchant’s crystal”, Citrine is good for attracting wealth, good fortune, love, and happiness as well as assists with manifestation, imagination, creativity, and personal will. It’s name comes from French “Citron” which means lemon, due to it’s color. In ancient times Citrine was the birthstone of those born in November and in the modern day is still used as such as an alternative to the more pricey Imperial Topaz which it resembles. It does not gather negative energy, instead transmuting it, dissipating, and grounding it. Therefore it is one of two crystals that never need to be cleared or cleansed, the other being Kyanite. As a protection stone, it guards against spite, jealousy, and those that would break your heart. This is another crystal I carry with me at all times.
